What’s Happening in Nova Scotia (Sat. June 3rd – Fri. June 16th, 2017

This blog features a couple of themed event highlights (Lobster Suppers, Community Breakfasts/Dinners, Local Festivals) and the calendar will continue to have everything.

Community Breakfast/Lunches/Dinners
Variety Supper in LaHave on Saturday, June 3rd at the Branch Lahave Hall. From 4-6pm.

High Tea in Volgers Cove on Sunday, June 4th at the Volgers Cove Hall. From 2-4pm.

13th Annual Pig Roast in New Ross on Saturday, June 10th at the New Ross Fire Department. From 430-6pm.

Craft Fairs
Dartmouth Makers Spring in to Summer Market on Saturday, June 3rd at the the Parish Hall. From 9am-4pm.

Lobster Suppers
Please check the calendar as it contains contact information – some lobster suppers require people to purchase advance tickets. This could range from full lobsters, lobster sandwiches or delicious lobster chowder. The calendar has specifics.

Sandy Point on Saturday June 3rd at the Sandy Point Lighthouse Community Centre. From noon-130pm

Freeport on Saturday June 3rd at the Freeport Fire Department. From 5-7pm.

The Shelburne County Lobster Festival is on from June 1 – 4th.

Dartmouth on Saturday June 10th at the St. John’s Anglican Church. From 4-630pm.

The Shore Club hosts Lobster Suppers until October 8, 2017. Wednesday through Sunday. Details are in the link. They also have great music acts on Saturday night. Meal runs from 4-7pm on Saturday nights. All other nights it is 4-8pm.

Other Great Spots
Also there’s a Alderney Farmers’ Market on Saturday. Lot’s of great local vendors – if you are there, say “Hi” to the gentlemen at Port City Cafe – they are some of my favourite people.

A reminder that the 4th Annual Cold Waters Seafood Festival is taking place in Clam Harbour/Lake Charlotte from June 3rd-4th.
