What’s Happening in Nova Scotia (Mon. June 19th – Fri. June 30th, 2017)

This blog features a couple of themed event highlights (Lobster Suppers, Community Breakfasts/Dinners, Local Festivals) and the calendar will continue to have everything.

Community Breakfast/Lunches/Dinners
Firemen’s Breakfast in Cherry Hill/Mill Village on Saturday, June 24th at the United Communities Fire Hall. From 8-11am.

Strawberry Supper in Inglisville on Saturday, June 24th at the Inglisville Community Hall. From 430-6pm.

Community Brunch in Dartmouth on Sunday, June 25th at the East Dartmouth Community Centre. From 930am-1pm.

Lobster Suppers
Please check the calendar as it contains contact information – some lobster suppers require people to purchase advance tickets. This could range from full lobsters, lobster sandwiches or delicious lobster chowder. The calendar has specifics.

Bedford on Saturday June 24th at All Saints Anglican Church. From 3-7pm. Advance Tickets must be purchased by calling 902.835.2605.

Chester on Saturday June 24th at the Chester Legion. From 4-6pm. Advance Tickets can be purchased by calling 902.275.5938 or 902.277.0295.

Lakevale on Sunday June 25th at the Mini Trail Community Centre. From noon-6pm. Advance Tickets can be purchased by calling 902.863.4292.

The Digby Lobster Bash Festival is on from June 30th – July 2nd.

The Shore Club hosts Lobster Suppers until October 8, 2017. Wednesday through Sunday. Details are in the link. They also have great music acts on Saturday night. Meal runs from 4-7pm on Saturday nights. All other nights it is 4-8pm.

Other Great Spots
Also there’s a Alderney Farmers’ Market on Saturday. Lot’s of great local vendors – if you are there, say “Hi” to the gentlemen at Port City Cafe – they are some of my favourite people.

Privateer Days is taking place around various spots in Liverpool from June 23th-June 25th.

A reminder that the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is taking place in the Scotiabank Centre from June 29th-July 6th.
